Goodyear chooses CEVA as logistics partner in Turkey

26 November 2009 - 11:04 CET

Istanbul, Turkey, 26 November 2009 - CEVA Logistics, one of the world's leading supply chain companies, today announced that it has been selected by Goodyear Lastikleri T.A.S, to be its logistics provider in Turkey. The company is a subsidiary of Good Year Tire and Rubber - one of the world's largest tire companies. CEVA will provide Full Truck Load (FTL) and Partial (LTL) distribution services from Goodyear's Adapazari and Izmit plants to their dealers and automotive manufacturers (OEM) throughout Turkey.

CEVA's service will consist of three distribution modes: Partial (LTL distribution) through CEVA distribution network, Routed FTL's, and micro distribution from CEVA branches throughout Turkey. All the distribution process will be visible by Goodyear with a track and trace system via the web.

Aslan Uzun, CEVA's General Manager for the Turkey and Balkans said, "We believe that our unique one-way distribution network was one of the key elements that motivated Goodyear's choice to choose CEVA as a logistics partner. We presented a perfect match-up for them with regards to the strategic location of our branches throughout Turkey and the effective micro distribution to other customers. Our tailored-support and distribution experience with Goodyear in Spain, Greece and Italy gives us confidence that the future efficiency improvements we have proposed in Turkey will enable us to meet any urgent demands."
